In memoriam: Mark Sander

Advantage Testing is deeply saddened by the recent passing of Mark Sander, Director of Advantage Testing of Boston and one of our true pioneers. Throughout his life, in everything he did, Mark personified the virtues of integrity and courage. He was immensely proud of his work as a tutor and director, and he drew great personal satisfaction from his professional life. Mark opened the first Advantage Testing office outside the New York region, demonstrating that our model of rigorous one-on-one instruction could be successfully replicated elsewhere. He shared Advantage Testing’s deep commitment to helping socioeconomically disadvantaged students pursue their academic and professional ambitions, taking great pride in our partnerships with universities and public service organizations to promote access to higher education. Mark Sander contributed to elevating the standards, expectations, and respect for an entire profession. He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew him.
