Diana earned her B.A. in English Literature with honors from Johns Hopkins University, where she was a National Merit Finalist, a member of Phi Beta Kappa, and the student director for The Tutorial Project, the longest-running student-led program at the university. After graduating, she taught middle school reading and writing in Houston and served as the gifted and talented coordinator on her campus. Upon receiving her M.A. in Educational Leadership at the University of Houston, Diana coached and trained over 600 new teachers at Teach For America. Outside of tutoring, Diana leads ONE Houston, the Organizing Network for Education Houston, which seeks to empower and develop student, teacher, and parent leaders in the community. When she is not working with students, she enjoys running, film, reading, writing, and spending time with friends and family.
