Advantage Testing of Houston has delivered outstanding educational services to the Houston community for 30 years. Launched by Jay Resh in 1994, we have helped thousands of students reach their academic and professional goals.
Our tutors have the specialized knowledge and years of professional experience necessary to offer exceptional one-on-one tutoring for a wide range of academic subjects, from elementary-level courses and reading remediation to graduate school studies. Our deep knowledge of curriculum allows us to tailor our instruction to each student’s coursework and learning style. In addition to academic tutoring, we provide assistance with organizational and study skills.
We also bring our passion for long-term, rigorous preparation to standardized exam tutoring. Using a combination of official tests and proprietary materials, we help students excel on ISEE, SSAT, HSPT, PSAT, SAT, ACT, AP Exams, GRE, GMAT, LSAT, MCAT, PE Exams, NCLEX, DAT, Bar Exam, and general placement exams. Additionally, we help students improve writing skills and prepare for interviews, and we help families find and apply for college scholarships and navigate the college financial landscape.
SOAR, a specialized pre-K school readiness and early elementary enrichment program, prepares our youngest students for academic success. SOAR builds a strong foundation for literacy and nurtures executive functioning using literature, games, puzzles, and other interactive activities.
