Jarrod earned his B.S. in Civil Engineering from Rice University and his M.S. in Civil Engineering from the University of California, Davis. Jarrod was an Achievement Scholar, an AP Scholar with Distinction, and a National Merit Finalist.

Jarrod is a skilled academic/exam tutor that adapts his teaching style to meet the needs of a diverse range of learners, ensuring that each student feels comfortable, engaged, and challenged. He has the patience, creativity, and expertise to help students at all ages and skill levels to achieve their academic goal.

Outside of tutoring, his interests include reading 500–1,000-page SFF books (not all of them good), studying the statistical and psychological interplay of poker, learning about financial markets, working out, and watching obscure European teams play rugby.
