Julia graduated magna cum laude from Luther College with a major in Biology and a minor in Mathematics. She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa, Pi Mu Epsilon, and Beta Beta Beta honor societies. She earned a Ph.D. in Molecular and Cellular Biology from Baylor College of Medicine and continued with postdoctoral research at BCM. In the lab, her research experience ranged from projects in microbiology to breast cancer. Julia is a full-time tutor who has worked with hundreds of students in her time with Advantage Testing. As a tutor, Julia most enjoys helping students connect the dots in order to help them make sense of difficult math and science concepts. When not tutoring, she can be found biking, running, or working out. She is also a Gold Award Girl Scout and has two dachshunds named Brownie and Daisy.
