Melissa Peng graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles, with a B.S. in Mathematics of Computation. As a member of Upsilon Pi Epsilon, UCLA's International Honor Society for the Computing and Information Disciplines, she tutored other undergraduates in lower-division computer science courses.
After graduating, she worked as a software engineer at Google for two years and then as a substitute teacher in the Los Angeles Unified School District for two years. Her teaching experience includes leading AP Calculus and Precalculus classes for an entire semester each.
When she's not helping students, she loves performing comedy in theaters, including the Upright Citizens Brigade and Elysian Theater, and exploiting her AMC A-List subscription.
