A magna cum laude graduate of Bryn Mawr College, Michelle earned her B.A. in Theatre and English with departmental honors and won the Kaye Theatre Award. Michelle continued to study theater at Columbia University, where she earned her M.A., M.Phil, M.F.A., and Ph.D.
Michelle has been recognized for excellence in academics and theater: she was awarded the Marjorie Hope Nicolson Fellowship, the Mellon Summer Research Fellowship, the Shubert Presidential Scholarship, and a Travel Award from Columbia University.
Before tutoring with Advantage Testing, Michelle was a writing instructor and tutor at Columbia University and a writing and literature professor at Haverford College. She also served for five years as the Writing Program Director for the Leadership Enterprise for a Diverse America at Princeton University. Michelle is still a professional theater director and dramaturg.
