Sukanya earned her B.A. with high honors in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies with a pre-health concentration from Dartmouth College, where she was a James O. Freedman Presidential Scholar and a member of Sigma Xi, the scientific research honor society. She is currently a J.D. candidate at the University of Michigan Law School, where she holds a Dean’s Scholarship.

A former competitive gymnast, Sukanya developed an early interest in the relationship between performance, discipline, mental well-being, and academic success. While in high school, she conducted USDA-funded research on public health, nutrition, and physical activity at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center. In college, she continued her research at Dartmouth’s Geisel School of Medicine, where she studied mental health and well-being through AI applications in NIH-funded clinical research.

She has since co-authored eight peer-reviewed publications in outlets including NEJM AI, Digital Health, and Oxford University Press publications. Her work has been cited more than 400 times by other researchers, and one of her studies was featured in The New York Times in April 2025.

These experiences, combined with years of tutoring students across a range of academic levels and learning styles, have shaped Sukanya’s individualized and mentorship-driven approach to education. In addition to tutoring, she volunteers with Crisis Text Line, where she has developed strong communication and active listening skills.

As a 2020 U.S. Presidential Scholar, Sukanya combines rigorous academic instruction with a strong emphasis on confidence, resilience, and sustainable study habits. She is especially passionate about helping students navigate high-pressure academic environments while maintaining balance, perspective, and self-confidence.
